푸바물라(Fuvahmulah)는 몰디브에서 유일하게 하나의 섬으로 이루어져 있는 환초로 적도 바로 아래에 위치해 있으며 진정으로 독특한 매력을 선보인다. 

푸바물라 외곽에 자리잡고 있는 호랑이 공원(Tiger Zoo)은 200마리 이상의 뱀상어와 푸바물라 고유종인 쇠물닭 (발리쿠쿨후)가 서식하고 있으며, 푸바물라의 놀라운 자연을 보여주는 곳이다.

불가사의한 매력을 자랑하는 자갈 해변인 푸바물라 툰디(Fuvahmulah Thundi)는 섬 최북단에 넓게 흩어져 있는 작은 흰색 자갈로 이루어져 있다. 

자갈 해변은 급강하하는 암초에 부딪히는 격렬한 파도와 완벽한 조화를 이루는 것으로 유명하며, 거대한 파도가 자갈 해변에 무자비하게 부딪히면서 자연의 신비를 보여준다.

이슬람 이전 시대에 불교 사원의 일부였던 겜미스키(Gemmiskiy)는 이슬람교로 개종한 후 첫 번째 모스크로 전환되었다. 

현재, 푸바물라에서 가장 오래된 건물로 남아 있다. 

푸바물라 하비타(Fuvahmulah Havitta)는 불교 탑원(Buddhist Chaitya) 유적지이다. 

이곳은 이슬람 이전 시기 동안 불교 커뮤니티의 중요한 중심지였을 것이다.
 

Fuvahmulah, the only one-island atoll in Maldives, lying just south of the equator is home to features truly unique to the city. The Tiger Zoo, on the outer waters of Fuvahmulah, has an estimated population of over 200 tiger sharks, and The Common Moorhen(Valikukulhu) a bird native only to Fuvahmulah, are just an ounce of the natural wonders Fuvahmulah beholds.
The Fuvahmulah Thundi, or the miraculous pebble beach, consists of a wide stretch of tiny white pebbles scattered at the northernmost end of the island.
The pebble beach is also in perfect harmony with the violent waves at the sudden reefdrop, where the gigantic waves crash relentlessly onto the natural phenomena, the pebble beach. In the pre-Islamic period, Gemmiskiy was a part of the Buddhist monastery, and was later converted to function as the first mosque after the island’s conversion to Islam.
It remains the oldest building in the city. Fuvahmulah Havitta in the island is the ruins of a Buddhist Chatiya. The site would have been an important centre of the Buddhist community during pre-Islamic times.
