몰디브 최남단에 위치해 있는 아두 환초(Addu Atoll)는 몰디브에서 가장 다양한 자연 서식지가 있는 곳으로 무성한 푸르름을 보여준다.

독특한 지형 덕분에 자연과 완벽한 조화를 이루면서 발전하고 있다.

아두 환초 지역의 공항이 있는 간(Gan)섬은 1941년부터 1976년까지 영국 해군 및 공군 기지였으며, 오늘날에도 영국적인 특징이 일부 남아 있다. 

히타두(Hithadhoo)에서는 몰디브 최대의 습지 중 하나로 자연보호지역으로 지정되어 있는 아이드히갈리 킬히(Eydhigali Kilhi)를 탐험할 수 있다.

아이드히갈리 킬히는 몰디브 및 아두 환초 일부 지역의 고유종인 몇몇 조류의 서식지이다.

몰디브 왜가리, 쇠백로와 흰제비갈매기를 일 년 내내 볼 수 있다.

Gan, The Airport Island of Addu, was a British naval and airbase from 1941 to 1976 and retains some of the characteristics of the British presence even today. 

In Hithadhoo you can explore one of the largest wetlands in the country, Eydhigali Kilhi. Protected as a nature reserve. 

Eydhigali Kilhi is home to several species of birds endemic to Maldives and some specifically to Addu Atoll. 

The Maldivian pond heron, little egret and white tern can be spotted throughout the year.
